I loved this sweet book about the life of a sad, jaded owner of a small, struggling book store in a summer community. A baby is left in his bookstore and A.J. adopts her. She opens his heart and brings together many folks in this small community. The book store gains popularity as A.J. goes from despondent crumudgeon, to loving father and friend. The readers in the community grow together in book clubs and gatherings at Island Books. A.J. finds himself in love with a publishers rep. His family life and book store thrive. A small story with neat, likable characters.
