The Invisible Circus – Jennifer Egan

Diane February 15, 2015 Books

Phoebe O’Connor is an 18 year old girl stalled in her own life because of an obsession with the memory of her “larger than life” older sister Faith , a hippie who died in Italy in 1970. Set in 1978, which was fun because I was about the same age as Phoebe then, and some of her experiences were familiar. I liked the book, although not as much as A Visit to the Goon Squad, which I thought was brilliant.
